Meet Vanessa Garcia

Vanessa is driven by authentic connection! She is a Penn State graduate who finished her undergraduate in Sydney, Australia. This experience inspired her to be a lifelong learner with a passion for experiencing and contributing to diverse communities as well as having a more global perspective as it relates to relationships, business and motherhood. 

After a unique opportunity working in luxury goods sales on cruise ships in the Caribbean for two years, in 2012 she joined a local recruiting firm.  Vanessa and her business partner, then launched Performant Scout in 2015 to take advantage of their shared work ethic, strategic collaboration and deep experience in the executive search space.   

With her partner’s well-deserved retirement approaching this year in 2024, Vanessa is energized for the new opportunities and growth ahead for Performant Scout. Making an impact through supporting local non-profits and other community initiatives is part of what drives Vanessa to move the needle every day. She is passionate about supporting causes that provide a brighter future for all, especially her spunky 8 and 6-year-old children!
